Four simple steps.

No heat press needed

A clean surface, careful placement, and firm pressure make the difference. Take your time with the details.

  1. PREP THE SURFACE

    Clean it.
    Dry it completely.

    Wipe away dust, oils, and moisture. Let the surface dry completely before applying your transfer.

    Get the prep right

    Use a cleaner that is suitable for your item’s finish. Avoid touching the cleaned area with your fingers before application.

  2. LINE IT UP

    Peel the backing.
    Place your design.

    Keep the clear carrier in place as you remove the backing. Position the adhesive side carefully on your item.

    Make placement easier

    Check alignment before the adhesive touches the surface. Support round items so they stay steady while you position the transfer.

  3. MAKE FULL CONTACT

    Rub firmly.
    Work from the center.

    Use a squeegee or rigid card to apply firm pressure. Work outward across the entire design, including the edges.

    Give details extra care

    Give small lettering and fine lines extra attention. Support the item and rub evenly rather than rushing across the carrier.

  4. THE REVEAL

    Peel slowly.
    Let the design shine.

    Peel the clear carrier back at a low angle. If an edge lifts, lay the carrier back down and rub that area again.

    Finish with confidence

    Keep the peel slow and close to the surface. Stop if any part of the design lifts; press it back down before continuing.

A little care goes a long way. Hand wash decorated drinkware.

Give everyday objects a custom finish. UV DTF works best when the adhesive can make full contact with a clean, smooth, non-porous surface.

Glass & Acrylic

Think glass cups, jars, acrylic signs, and keychains. Choose smooth areas, remove dust and residue, and let the surface dry before applying.

Coated Metal & Tumblers

Great places to start include compatible coated bottles, tumblers, and metal signs. A smooth finish matters; textured or soft-touch coatings need extra testing.

Glazed Ceramic

Use smooth, glazed mug exteriors and decorative ceramic pieces. Keep designs away from drinking rims, food-contact areas, and rough unglazed sections.

Rigid Hard Plastic

Try compatible hard cases, storage containers, and display pieces. Plastic types and coatings vary, so test adhesion first. Flexible silicone needs another decorating method.

Sealed Wood

Consider fully sealed, smooth decorative signs and plaques. The transfer adheres to the finish, so test that coating. Skip bare grain, porous areas, or flaking paint.

File preparation guide

Your file. Ready for UV.

A clean file is the first step to a sharp transfer. Review these requirements before submitting your UV DTF gang sheet.

File Formats Transparent PNG, SVG, PDF Ensure background is completely transparent. Avoid feathered or soft semi-transparent drop shadows.
Resolution 300 DPI at 100% print size Low-resolution artwork will print blurry or pixelated. Design directly at 300 DPI.
Color Profile CMYK Recommended CMYK ensures true-to-life printed hues. sRGB / RGB designs will be automatically converted to CMYK.
Orientation DO NOT MIRROR Keep artwork readable. UV DTF is applied facing up directly from the carrier film. Never flip or mirror graphics.
Minimum Line Thickness 1.0 pt / 0.35 mm Fine lines, dots, or small standalone text thinner than 1pt may not adhere properly when peeled.
White Ink Layer Automatic White Underbase Any visible color in your design will automatically receive a bright white underbase layer for opacity on all dark surfaces.
Inspect raster artwork at 100% zoom before uploading.

Pixelation or background artifacts present in your file will show in the print. File re-submissions may delay turnaround times.

What is a UV DTF Gang Sheet? +
A single sheet containing multiple custom sticker designs arranged efficiently. UV DTF transfers your artwork directly onto hard, smooth items with pressure and adhesive, requiring zero heat pressing.
How are sheet dimensions measured? +
The width is fixed at 22 inches, and the length varies according to your selection (e.g. 22×20", 22×60", up to 22×240"). You can place as many individual logos and designs inside that sheet as fit.
Can I mix different designs on one sheet? +
Yes! Combine multiple logos, duplicate stickers, scale elements to different dimensions, and arrange them with zero limitations within the chosen sheet bounds.
Builder vs. Gang Sheet Upload? +
Use the Online Builder if you want to upload individual graphics and arrange/duplicate them in our web editor. Use Gang Sheet Upload if you already generated a finished 22" sheet file in Photoshop or Illustrator.

What file formats are supported? +
Transparent PNG at 300 DPI is the gold standard. SVG and print-ready vector PDF are also accepted. Ensure backgrounds are clean with no unwanted pixel artifacts.
Should I mirror my images? +
NO, DO NOT MIRROR! Unlike garment heat press DTF, UV DTF is applied facing right-side up. Text and logos must be uploaded in normal readable orientation.
What is the minimum line thickness? +
We recommend a minimum line weight of 1 pt (0.35 mm). Elements smaller than this may lift or tear when peeling the carrier film during transfer.
How does white ink printing work? +
Our state-of-the-art UV printers lay down a high-density white underbase beneath all colored pixels automatically, ensuring vibrant contrast on black, metallic, or clear glass items.

What surfaces can UV stickers adhere to? +
Smooth glass cups, tumblers, stainless steel, glazed mugs, rigid plastic phone cases, acrylic signs, sealed wood, and metal plates. Avoid untreated porous wood or silicone.
Can UV stickers be applied to t-shirts? +
No, UV DTF is engineered strictly for rigid, non-flexible surfaces. For garments, cotton, or polyester, please order our standard Apparel DTF transfers.
How should I wash decorated drinkware? +
Hand wash gently with lukewarm water and a soft sponge. Do not soak in hot water, and avoid dishwashers or microwave ovens to guarantee long-term longevity.
How long should I let it cure? +
Adhesion occurs immediately upon rubbing, but maximum bonding strength develops after 24 hours. Allow decorated items to rest for 24 hours before first wash.
